This scholarship is available only to sworn staff (peace officers) who also contribute to PORAC Legal Defense Fund insurance. The following bargaining units are eligible:
- District Attorney Inspectors and Inspector Supervisors
- Probation 075 (sworn staff)
- Sheriff's Sworn Unit
This grant is administered directly by PORAC/POREF.
The PORAC/POREF Scholarship grant is open to dependents of active PORAC members and survivors of active members who were killed in the line of duty. The scholarship grant is not open to non-members of PORAC.
