I am currently an Administrative Specialist II in Alameda County Behavioral Health (ACBH). After twelve years of management experience, and a layoff in the private sector, I sought the stability and strong union representation that government employment offered. I joined Alameda County in 2005 as a Clerk II in the Probation Department and within a year I promoted to an Administrative Assistant position in ACBH. I was a member of SEIU for 5 years, and another 3 years prior to my employment with Alameda County.
I’ve been a member of ACMEA since 2010 when I promoted to Administrative Specialist II and have since held positions in ACBH and Health Care Services Agency within Human Resources. Much of my professional experience is in project management and I enjoy working with a diverse group of individuals toward a common goal. I have recently completed an ACMEA union steward training in September 2019 and I’m excited to be more involved with my union. I have led numerous committees and coordinated multiple events throughout my employment with Alameda County and in my personal life. I have also served for five years on my Homeowners Association Board of Directors.
With this experience, I will work with my colleagues to improve communication with members, promote transparency, and ensure that regular board meetings are held and are more accessible to members.
In my free time, I enjoy cooking, home improvement projects, traveling and spending time with my family and friends.
