I began working for the County of Alameda twenty-nine years ago and have worked for the Alameda County Sheriff’s Office for the past 20 years. I am currently the Departmental Human Resources Officer and oversee the payroll unit, which includes one payroll supervisor, six payroll records clerks and one clerk II. I started with the County as a temporary employee and have held the following tenured classifications: Clerk II, Specialist Clerk, HR Assistant II, Eligibility Technician I, Human Resources Technician, and Administrative Specialist II.
I have over 25 years of experience in human resources and am knowledgable regarding the civil service hiring process to ensure that employees covered by MOUs are paid properly. I work with the Auditor’s Office, County Human Resources and Labor Relations to ensure that the MOU's are interpreted properly on a countywide basis, and refer to salary ordinances and the administrative code to determine which classifications qualify for specific footnote and/or auxiliary pay.
